Adventures in Cake Land
I've recently been taking some cake decorating classes, much to the dismay of my husband having to babysit on Tuesday nights, at the local arts and crafts store. I thought it would be neat to learn how they decorate such fancy cakes. Plus I love doing anything artistic in nature. Tonight we finished up our fourth and last class in the beginners course. I was very surprised how my finial cake came out. Its still a little rough but practice, practice, practice. I can't wait to start the other classes. Hopefully I'll feel super confident to do Patrick's baptism cake!!Irishfoxx

Grooven in the VW Bus
It's the newest addition to our fleet, our 1977 Volkswagen Camper Bus (with the pop-up top....it's sweet!!) The Hubby found this beauty on craigslist recently, and we decided on a whim, I don't personally know what was going on in my head that day, to go take a look at her. After a lovely half hour drive, we finally got to take a look at her. I don't know if it was the loss of blood due to the overwhelming amount of mosquitoes or my visions of awesome road trips in matching Tye-dye. But we bought her. It took the Hubs, in this ladies driveway meanwhile, a week to get her driving. Only to have her only make it 5 miles (shooting flames out the tailpipe) before breaking down. We had to call a tow truck. But now she's safe and sound at a friend's house. We'll be taking her to a VW man. Then she get a new paint job. She's a work in progress but when she's finished I can't wait to drive her!!Irishfoxx

I can't believe I'm Blogging
So, I just want to start out by saying, I'm very surprised that I have taken on the task of blogging our life. I'm not much of a typing person. And what I mean by saying that is that I type with two fingers...Two keys at a time.. Okay its not that bad, but it takes me a while. I would also like to take this time to apologize for any grammatical or spelling errors that occur ahead of time.
Its hard to translate life to type. What to write about? What not to write about? I have always considered myself a born storyteller. But it different telling a story aloud, then it is to write a story. I wasn't sure when I started this how I wanted to go about it. Should it be funny or should it be simple? Should it be serious? I guess I've come to the conclusion life is all of these things. So sometimes it will be silly, others simple, maybe sad. But I know it will be us.
So I can only hope you enjoy hearing about our mishaps and adventures... and little of every day lives.
